Gartner Says Closer Management of Wireless Services Can Save Companies 10 to 35 Percent of Their Wireless Costs Through 2015

Analyst firm believes 80 percent of Fortune 1000 companies will move from individual plans to voice and data pools in the next four years.

Gartner: Gartner has released some key predictions about wireless services and the enterprise. They believe that 80 percent of the 1000 largest corporations will be moving from individual voice and data plans to corporate pooled plans within the next four years. At the same time, enterprises will be working to establish better corporate policies about regarding mobile services.

"Policies are a crucial way of managing complex services," said Phil Redman, research vice president at Gartner. "Through 2015, closer management of wireless services can save companies 10 percent to 35 percent of their wireless costs."

In the report, Gartner also offers advice on what information corporates wireless policies should cover.
