Sophos Security Threat Report: 2010

Sixty percent of businesses say that Facebook poses the biggest security threat of any social networking site.

Sophos: In its latest Security Threat Report, vendor Sophos covers social networking, data loss and encryption, Web threats, spam, email threats, malware trends, specific threats to various operating systems, mobile devices, and more. Here are a few key findings:

  • Businesses say that Facebook is the social networking site that poses the largest threat.
  • The Web remains the biggest vehicle for malware.
  • The U.S. hosts the most malicious sites.
  • E-mail threats surged in 2009.
