PCWorld: David Einhorn, manager of the Greenlight Capital hedge fund, recently told an investor conference that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer needs to step down. "Ballmer is stuck in the past," Einhorn said, "and is at best a caretaker at Microsoft."
To back up his point, Einhorn pointed to Ballmer's comments about Apple's mobile products not being a threat, as well as money wasted on mergers and acquisitions. Einhorn also noted that an investor who put $100,000 into Microsoft stock 10 years ago would only have $69,000 today.
