Bloomberg BusinessWeek: Microsoft's Brandon Watson says that the company supports third-party developers who want to charge more for their mobile apps. “I’d rather developers sell fewer than a million downloads and get to a million dollars,” he said. “If we can support a higher price point that’s good for developers.”
While the Android and Apple app stores offer many apps for free or for 99 cents, Windows Phone 7 will encourage higher price points in order to attract higher quality apps.
