eWeek: RIM is asking retailers to pull approximately 900 PlayBook tablet PCs from their shelves. According to the firm, the mobile devices “were shipped with an OS build that may result in the devices being unable to properly load software upon initial setup.”

Few end users are expected to be impacted by the recall, as most of the affected PlayBooks “are still in the distribution channel and haven’t reached customers.”
