Wall Street Journal: Security firm Symantec says that it discovered a Facebook flaw which exposed user account information to third parties. The issue centers around the use of access tokens which allow apps to connect with a users' profile information. According to Symantec, nearly 100,000 apps may have leaked these access tokens to third parties, potentially exposing millions of user accounts.

Facebook says that it began addressing the problem in early April when Symantec brought it to their attention. "We've conducted a thorough investigation which revealed no evidence of this issue resulting in a user's private information being shared with unauthorized third parties," a Facebook spokeswoman added.
