Reuters: Unnamed sources say that both Facebook and Google have been involved in separate talks to purchase Web video conferencing service Skype. Skype has reportedly delayed its IPO plans while it considers the offers. Purchasing Skype would likely cost $3 billion to $4 billion; an IPO is likely to raise $1 billion.

The companies involved declined to comment on the story.
