Computerworld: Microsoft has announced that Windows Phone 7 smartphone owners will soon be receiving their first security update. The patch blacklists nine SSL certificates that a hacker stole from certificate-issuer Comodo in March.

Windows desktop users received a patch that addressed the same problem on March 23. Microsoft did not respond to questions about why it took so long to get the same updates to Windows Phone 7 users.
