NetworkWorld: Both Microsoft and Mozilla launched new versions of their Web browsers in March, but that didn't prevent their market share from slipping in April. According to the latest figures from Net Applications, Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) dropped 0.8 percentage points to hit 55.1 percent, a new low. Open source Firefox fell two-tenths of a percentage point to 21.6 percent.

Meanwhile, Apple's Safari gained five-tenths, and Google's Chrome climbed four-tenths.
