Lawson Accepts $2 Billion Takeover Bid by Infor

The merger will create one of the largest enterprise resource planning software firms.

CIO: Lawson Software has announced that it has accepted Infor's $2 billion bid to take over the company. After the deal, Infor will become one of the largest enterprise resource planning software vendors, after SAP and Oracle.

Infor is privately held, but company revenues are estimated at $2 billion. Lawson's revenues for 2010 were $736.4 million.
