Cnet: After reporting quarterly net income of $3.2 billion, an increase of 29 percent over last year, Intel CEO Paul Otellini discussed the companies future plans for smartphones and tables in a conference call. "We're actively doing the port" for Android 3.0 and "my sense is the bulk of the units, the [models], this year will be Android," he said.
He also mentioned that the company had "lost Nokia" as a partner for its Meego project. And he said Intel is now "focusing on [telecommunications] carriers who want their own devices and also on handset manufacturers."
