ZDNet: A new survey conducted by McAfee and the Center for Strategic and International Studies finds that 40 percent of the executives at organizations that secure critical infrastructure (power grids and oil, gas and water lines, etc.) say that their vulnerability to cyberattacks has increased. In addition, 30 percent say their firms are not prepared to deal with such an attack. "Very few companies are rising to the challenge posed by state-sponsored infiltration and potential attack," wrote the report's authors. "That is particularly true in the Western Hemisphere, India, and Europe."
The report finds that 80 percent of those surveyed experienced large scale denial of service attacks.
