Wall Street Journal: "Sources familiar with the matter" say that Twitter is in talks to purchase Tweetdeck, a popular client used to view Twitter feeds, for $50 million. It's unclear how that purchase would affect Twitter and how any Tweetdeck features would be integrated into Twitter's interface. However, Twitter is currently engaged in an ongoing effort to appeal to more users.
Twitter has recently purchased seven other small companies.
