Data Center Knowledge: In a statement, Microsoft has confirmed that “Kevin Timmons, general manager of Datacenter Services, has decided to pursue other career opportunities and is no longer working at Microsoft.” Timmons played a key role in building the data centers that power Microsoft's Azure cloud computing services.
Timmons will reportedly take a job at Apple, though his title is unknown. Apple has recently been posting positions for a team that will build “the future of cloud services at Apple.”
