Thinq: A new survey sponsored by online backup specialist Mozy finds that workers in the UK, France and Germany are increasingly frustrated by their aging hardware. The British respondents had the oldest systems -- the average worker's PC was more than five years old, and 40 percent had newer hardware at home than at work.

While the Germans generally believe their bosses will get them a new PC when the time is right, the French are more likely to resort to more violent measures. Three times as many French respondents as German respondents said they would deliberately break their computers to get an upgrade.
