Google Invites Microsoft Office Users onto its Cloud

Google Cloud Connect lets Microsoft Office users collaborate on documents via the Web.

The Inquirer: Google has unveiled a new service called Google Cloud Connect that allows Microsoft Office users to collaborate on documents via the Web. Those who use the service will be able to upload Office files to Google's Web servers and access them via a special URL. The move is expected to heighten the competition between Google and Microsoft.

For now, the service is only available for Windows systems.
