InformationWeek: Dell is reporting that its fourth quarter net income totaled $927 million, or 48 cents a share. That's a 177 percent increase from the previous year, and it beat Wall Street expectations of 37 cents a share. Revenue for the period was up 5 percent.
Dell attributed its strong performance to record profitability in enterprise products and services, lower component costs, and strong commercial sales.
