FriendFeedZDNet: Thursday night, Samsung officially announced its new Galaxy Tab slate device. The iPad competitor offers a 7-inch screen (about the size of a Kindle), which makes it small enough to fit into users' pockets. The device will use Google's Android operating system, and unlike the iPad and iPhone, the Galaxy Tab will work with Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
Samsung has not yet announced pricing.
