PC Magazine: In its 2010 Supplier Responsibility Progress Report, Apple has revealed 17 violations at companies that provide parts for its products. Those violations included hazardous waste disposal, falsified records, "excessive recruitment fees," and three factories that used fifteen-year-old workers in violation of the law.
The company says that after the discoveries, it "required each facility to develop and institute appropriate management systems--such as more thorough ID checks and verification procedures--to prevent future employment of underage workers."
