NetworkWorld: The IT world has spent a lot of time in the last couple of years predicting a great surge of interest in cloud storage, but so far, says Forrester analyst Andrew Reichman, "This is just talk."
In fact, in a recent Forrester study, only 3 percent of businesses surveyed said they had implemented cloud storage. A full 43 percent said they had no plans of ever doing so.
However, the study did also show that enterprises are slightly more interested in cloud storage products packaged as SaaS--for example, backup-as-a-service offerings.
