Surveys: IT Job Satisfaction Plummets to All-Time Low
Several surveys show that IT workers are unhappy and may seek more fulfilling work elsewhere.

ComputerWorld: The recession, layoffs, and outsourcing have taken a big toll on morale among IT workers. A Corporate Executive Board survey showed that, in addition to an overall increase in dissatisfaction, the willingness of IT employees to "exert high levels of discretionary effort" has dropped to its lowest level in 10 years. In addition, a Conference Board survey found that only 45 percent of those in US households were satisfied with their jobs.
