Hewlett-Packard Recruits Microsoft To Raid Sun's Customers

Global CIO: Joining forces with Microsoft, Red Hat, and Novell, HP is promising Sun customers who migrate to HP fully configured systems and specialized services with lower TCO. The new offering is known as "HP Complete Care" and is just the latest attack in HP's offensive that began after Sun agreed to the acquisition deal with Oracle in April 2009. Sun is trying, with limited success, to fight back with marketing efforts of its own. The good news for enterprise IT departments is that all this competition is leading to lower prices.
