AT&T Takes the Blame, Even for the iPhone's Faults

AT&T's bad reputation with consumers may really be due to component problems with Apple's iPhone.
NY Times: The NY Times set about looking for independent data to confirm the superior performance of Verizon’s network over AT&T's, but astonishingly, the conventional wisdom seems to have gotten it exactly wrong. Despite the well-publicized problems in New York and San Francisco, AT&T seems to have the superior network nationwide. And the iPhone itself may not be so great after all. Its design is contributing to performance problems.
